The second-generation Chevrolet Corvette is one of the most desirable iterations of the iconic nameplate. And it's not just for the aggressive, Mako shark-inspired design and powerful V8 engines. The C2 Corvette is also the only one that featured a split rear window.
This now-desirable element was part of the C2 Corvette 's design from the very beginning. But the feature was short-lived. The split window also raised safety concerns due to reduced rearward visibility. As a result, it was discontinued in 1964.
This decision left 1963 as the only model year for the split-window Corvette. With only 10,594 coupes built that year, it's a fairly rare car.

The black interior is a perfect match with the silver exterior, and with all the bright trim correctly still in place, this looks like a black and chrome two-tone. Under the hood is the original, numbers matching 327 cubic L75 V8. So this authentic first year Sting Ray is still a correct powerhouse with its advertised 300hp rating. And since you will want to show this V8 off, it has the bright block, matching valve covers with callouts, polished
distributor shield, and pie dish air cleaner.
This is a Powerglide transmission car, which is a rarity to see.
