General Information
The New Auto Toy Store is proud to present this extraordinary 1932 Bucciali TAV-12 "The Bootch" Custom , a hand-built, one-of-one commissioned recreation inspired by the legendary Bucciali TAV-12. This stunning custom captures the dramatic Art Deco presence of the original French masterpiece, while incorporating a reliable American V8 driveline for modern usability.
WHY THIS 1932 BUCCIALI CUSTOM IS SPECIAL
Around 25 years ago, an affluent Canadian collector fell in love with the original Bucciali TAV-12
after seeing it at a car show. Wanting something he could actually drive and enjoy, he commissioned
a bespoke recreation that would honor the spirit of the French original while being practical to own.
The result is this car, affectionately known as "The Bootch", hand-built by
Oddball Kustoms in Ontario with over 2,000 hours of fabrication and build time.
It rides on a custom 2" x 4" steel tube chassis with an all hand-formed sheet metal body,
and is powered by a strong 454ci V8 paired to a TH400 automatic transmission,
sending power to a GM rear end with 3.73 gears. Carefully selected components — including
a Rolls-Royce steering column — complete the build.
With only 250 miles since completion, this Bucciali Custom presents as a near-new showpiece.
It has also been featured on the hit TV series South Beach Classics, making it not only a
rolling sculpture but a piece of modern enthusiast car culture history as well.

ABOUT THE BUCCIALI TAV-12 INSPIRATION
The original Bucciali automobiles were among the most daring and advanced luxury cars of the pre-war era.
Designed by the Bucciali brothers in France, the TAV series featured dramatic Art Deco styling and highly
innovative engineering for their time, including early front-wheel-drive layouts and elaborate coachwork
by renowned French carrosseries.
This hand-built Bucciali Custom pays tribute to that heritage with its elongated silhouette, sweeping fenders,
and commanding stance. By blending classic French design language with a dependable American V8 powertrain,
it offers the visual theater of a 1930s coachbuilt icon with the practicality to be driven, shown, and
enjoyed in the modern world — a truly unique opportunity for the serious collector.
